How long have you been working in costs?

Over 17 years. I started working in costs in September 2006, once I had graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a 2:1 degree in law.

When did you join PIC?

January 2024.

What work do you do?

I have dealt with a range of different types of cases in the past but specialise in high-value catastrophic and clinical negligence matters, with a particular interest in birth and brain injury cases. I predominantly prepare Bills of Costs and Costs Budgets, but also have experience in preparing Points of Reply and Advocacy (both Detailed Assessment and CCMCs).

Additional personal details?

I am married with a 2-year-old son and two teenage stepdaughters. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading and socialising with friends. I’m also addicted to reality tv – much to the annoyance of my husband!
