How long have you been working in costs?

I have been working in costs since 2011.

When did you join PIC?

I joined PIC in January 2011.

What work do you do?

I am a Senior Costs Consultant and Team Leader at PIC. I prepare Bills of Costs across a wide range of matters, from lower-value clinical negligence claims through to cerebral palsy cases, public liability accidents, accidents at work and road traffic accidents.

My experience also includes amputation and catastrophic injury cases. Alongside this, I prepare Court of Protection bills and Claim 1s.

I am MCILEx and am currently studying an ILEx course.

Interesting cases

• Cases involving asbestosis and other industrial diseases.
• An inheritance case involving a young gifted girl and her estranged deceased father.

Additional personal details:

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children, crochet, cross stitch, dress-making, reading and walking.
