How long have you been working in costs?

I have been working in costs for 44 years.

When did you join PIC?

I joined PIC in 2019.

What work do you do?

I am a Costs Lawyer with over four decades of experience in legal costs. Over the course of my career, I have dealt with costs in a wide range of complex and high-value matters, including multi-million-pound damages cases and disputes involving detailed technical issues.

My experience includes costs arising from notable and unusual cases, such as the first case pursued by a hospital radiographer following exposure to toxic fumes at work, the first ever structured settlement, international multi-jurisdictional disputes, and high-profile litigation involving sport, theatre and major group litigation.

Additional personal details:

Outside of work, I can be found walking the North Yorkshire Moors with my wife and our two pet Labradors.
