About Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA):
AvMA are highly committed to the NHS and their values. They aim to provide the best service, when it is not the best, they do not shy away from saying so and they continue to improve as they aim to support their people on their behalf. This expands to private healthcare which also serves the people which they support and assist.
AvMA’s vision is that they want to see “people who suffer avoidable medical harm get the support and the outcomes which they need.” They cannot do it along therefore, they need all the support from others which they can get. This includes those who can financially support AvMA as the cost of delivering their strategy exceeds their current resources. It will require additional funding if we are to deliver for the people of the UK an NHS that offers a world class record in patient safety and thus minimises medical accidents and takes appropriate action where and when they arise.
