How long have you been working in costs?

Since 2003.  I qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2010.

When did you join PIC?

February 2022.

What work do you do?

I’m a Costs Lawyer and legal trainer.

As a Costs Lawyer I am technically strong & have experience in all aspects of legal costs, having acted for both paying and receiving parties and having dealt with everything from drafting through budgeting to advocacy work. I have worked on a wide variety of cases, running from legal aid work to substantial clinical negligence, PI, civil & commercial matters.

I oversee the legal costs training within the company, including managing our bespoke trainee costs draftsperson programme.  I also deliver legal costs training externally.

Additional personal details.

In my spare time I enjoy live music and various sports including football and cricket, and I’m a committed follower of Stockport County.
